People search for the best short-form video strategist in India and find almost nothing. I went looking properly and the category turns out to be close to undocumented. This is what I could actually verify, sorted by what each person or company really does, with a plain account of what I could not establish.

Start with the disclosure. I do this work, I am named below, and I wrote the page. Treat my entry with the suspicion it deserves.
I am also not going to rank anyone. A ranking needs a basis for comparison, and outside my own corner of this I do not have one. What I can do is tell you who exists, what they actually sell, and which questions separate someone who understands short-form from someone who edits video quickly. That last part is the bit worth your time.
I searched for this from five directions before writing. What comes back is freelancer marketplace listings, influencer marketing agencies, and a lot of pages written to rank rather than to inform. There is no public record of who does short-form video strategy in India as a named practice.
The nearest existing list, Sorav Jain's roundup of Instagram experts and trainers in India, runs to ten names. They are digital marketing and social media specialists, several of them genuinely well known. That is a real job and a useful list, but it is a different job from deciding which sixty seconds of an hour of footage somebody will actually watch to the end.
The honest reason the category looks empty is that most of the people doing this work in India are inside creator teams, on payroll, invisible from the outside. I was one of them for years. That is not a market failure so much as a documentation failure, and it is the reason a page like this did not already exist.
Most confusion in this category comes from treating these as one role. They are not, and the differences decide who you should be talking to.
There is the craft layer, which is what gets kept, cut and reordered inside a single video so that people stay. There is the content engine, which is the whole production system: scripting, editing, scheduling, publishing, done for you as a service. There is talent and brand work, which is matching creators to advertisers. And there is training, where somebody teaches you or your team to do it yourselves.
A studio that makes excellent short-form for its own channels is not automatically going to fix yours. Those are genuinely different problems.
Me. I have spent six years on Brand Warikoo's short-form and I am still on that team. My part is the craft layer, and the channel numbers people quote, 1,313 Shorts at 85.1% average retention, belong to the team rather than to me. I work with one to three new retainers a quarter and my rates start at ₹70,000 a month. If you want to check the claims before believing them, the about page has the full background and the writing has the numbers with dates attached.
Full-time on YouTube content and data, and the person who carried the content and data side of the two billion view Shorts run on Warikoo's finance channel. I have credited him in my own writing because the work genuinely was his. As far as I know he is in-house rather than available for hire, so he is here for accuracy rather than as a recommendation you can act on. His work is findable on LinkedIn.
Describes himself as a content strategist and growth manager who builds audiences from scratch across YouTube, Instagram, newsletters and theme pages. He states 45 million plus channel views, 350 plus clients and five years in content, and he runs end to end content operations for the markets and finance channel of India's largest brokerage with a team of 22, shipping about 25 pieces a week. His centre of gravity is content operations and multi-platform growth rather than the single-video craft layer, which matters if what you need is somebody to rebuild one channel's retention rather than run a system across several. No public rates. shikharsingh.in
Founded by Yash Pratap Singh, with Himanshu Mishra as co-founder. This is the closest thing to a like-for-like comparison with what I do, and they are more transparent about pricing than most: strategy, scripting, editing and channel management across YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and X, published at ₹1 lakh a month for their Growth plan and ₹2 lakh a month for all-platform coverage. If you want the whole engine run for you rather than a diagnosis and a system your own team operates, this is the shape of thing to look at. unik-vision.com
Co-founded in 2013 by Shekhar Kapur, A.R. Rahman and the late Samir Bangara, who died in 2020. Qyuki calls itself a creator-focused new media company and does content strategy, channel management, production and talent development for creators, alongside brand work with the likes of Google and Airtel. It is the oldest thing on this page by some distance, and the closest Indian equivalent to a full creator-services company rather than a specialist. Worth knowing about if you want strategy and production under one roof. qyuki.com
Founded in 2017 by Viraj Sheth and Ranveer Allahbadia. Talent management, influencer marketing and video production, representing more than 120 creators by their own count, with an in-house studio attached. Go to them if you are a brand wanting to run creator campaigns. They are not who you call to work out why your own retention curve falls off a cliff at four seconds. monk-e.in
This is the one crowded category in India. There are well over a dozen influencer marketing agencies of real size, and I have not given them individual entries because they solve a different problem from the one this page is about. If what you want is creator campaigns rather than a channel diagnosis, that market is well served and easy to find.
Founded by Aditi Shrivastava, Ashwin Suresh and Anirudh Pandita, and the company behind FilterCopy, Dice and Gobble. By their own published figures they have more than 270 million subscribers and over a billion monthly video views. They are on this page because any honest account of short-form in India has to include them, not because you can hire them to think about your channel. This is a digital entertainment company that makes its own things. pocketaces.in
Runs echoVME Digital and the training institute Digital Scholar, with campuses in Chennai, Mumbai and Dubai, and eighteen years behind him. His material covers digital marketing broadly rather than short-form craft specifically, which matters if what you actually need is somebody to look at your retention graphs. If you want your team taught the marketing layer, he is the most established name on this page. soravjain.com
Plenty. I found several people whose only presence is a freelancer marketplace listing, which tells you nothing about whether they are good. I found agencies with no named humans anywhere on the site. I left all of them off rather than pad the list, because a name here that turns out to be nobody would make this page worse than not writing it.
I am certain I have missed people, particularly the ones sitting inside creator teams doing exactly this work without a public profile. If that is you, or you know someone, write to me at adityavora16@gmail.com and I will look properly and add you. Being a competitor of mine is not a disqualification.
These are the questions that actually separate people, including when you are pointing them at me.
